Esporles is committed to Sustainable Mobility by cycling

Improving mobility, reducing pollution and climate change are priority objectives of the mobility study in the municipality of Esporles.

The municipality’s main objective is to promote more sustainable mobility, especially cycling and on foot.

It will conduct a mobility research in coordination with the specialized company Cycling Friendly Mobility.

The plan will consist of different stages, based on the results of the public surveys. They are expected to represent a trend in the use of non-motorized mobility, especially in the city center. The Esporles City Council expects a broad citizen participation to contribute to the research.

Among other things, the rearrangement of traffic directions and municipal car parking facilities, are being studied to provide answers in the area.

Esporles is a city committed to the environment and striving to reduce CO₂ emissions related to mobility.

According to the UN Sustainable Development Goals and framed in the “European Mobility Week”, held from 16 to 22 September with the slogan “For mobility without emissions”.
