On the occasion of the European Mobility Week, last Friday, September 16, we were at the municipality of Mercadal (Menorca), to report the inhabitants of the municipality about our work in all those months.
A pleasant afternoon, introducing mobility problems faced by residents, which are accentuated every summer season due to tourist seasonality.
From Mobility By Cycling Friendly, we propose the goals to increase active commuting (on foot and by bicycle), and the use of public transport on the island, to make it more efficient, safer and above all more sustainable.
One of the strengths of our mobility studies is studying gender analysis and identifying the problems faced by women and dependents, so that municipalities can also adapt to these people.
Finally, at the round table we presented 46 action proposals per transport mode and where attendees could express their opinion on mobility in the municipality to improve the quality of life of citizens.
